After not working out for a while and getting back into it, I noticed my muscles have been extra tight. That, along with the air quality being terrible, made me decide to stay inside today and work on stretches. I did a couple of short yoga sessions and attempted pilates.

I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday; Bubbles is starting to teeth and needs lots of mama time lately. He loves being held, and pounding on keyboards, so I can’t do much on the computer when he needs me.
Anyway, I cut a lot of time off my neighborhood loop yesterday morning. I’m down to my early pregnancy time of exactly 40 minutes. I was…[Read more] -

Is it just me or do you crave chocolate like no other when the stress hits the fan….? I’m dying right now… brushing my teeth… walking around the building….

Morning ladies!! It’s dark at 6 am in Dallas!! So this is me in the hotel room right after a walk/jog on a pretty nice path around the hotel. I scared some squirrels, cats and crickets. Time for a shower and a loooooooong business meeting. NO DONUTS at the meeting I hope

It’s been a long but good day! I was able to get a 70 min total workout in 😊 half was walking/ jogging and half was body weight leg workout. I have been getting better, but I truly struggle with being too competitive with myself. I need to remember I don’t have go 100% or 0%. I really struggle with walking vs running, taking more time to do cer…[Read more]

Start where you are, do what you can, right??
-
Haha I know it, but it’s been different knowing vs doing. That’s now changing.

I can relate! It’s hard when you are competitive – we are told the we should be our own competition, which is great, but we have to find that in-between you are talking about. Not as a resting place where we become stagnant, but as a step towards winning the competition against yester-us lol
-
EXACTLY!!! Lol. It’s okay to not be breaking records everyday, but keep doing stuff everyday to keep getting stronger and breaking personal records in the long run!

Yay, I made it the whole day without sugar!! I took a long walk with my horse. I’ll start riding more when it finally starts to cool down. I plan on doing weights and cardio tomorrow.

So yesterday, I did really good until last night. It was my anniversary, so my husband took me out. We had pasta…. and then I had frozen yogurt. My excuse was, “it’s not icecream” haha. But it was probably worse. I’m doing better today, haven’t cheated yet! I can do this, I can do this…

I’m not going to lie… I put a brownie bite in my mouth…chewed and then spit it out… chocolate is not a comfort for stress… I repeat … is not a comfort…

I second Chantellg93 – having the no sugar challenge to think about gives me another layer of reasons to lay off the sugar. I went for a walk around the neighborhood this morning since the smoke from the fire near Yosemite wasn’t terrible. It’s about a 2.25 mile loop, and it was my first time walking it without my husband along, just Bubbles in…[Read more]

Today went alright for me. I hadn’t been doing much sugar starting before this challenge started, but today knowing I shouldn’t have it was harder. I resisted the temptation of sweets (it does help there’s not much at all in the house) Since moving we have been eating healthy! I have been working out regularly lately, which I’m so glad about.…[Read more]

Don’t forget to post how you did today! How was your first day of no sugar? We would suggest not weighing yourself everyday as it can fluctuate. You will also notice you are losing inches when trying on your clothing. That is usually the best indication and keeps you motivated. Sometimes the scales can be a little deceptive.

Hey ya’ll… I’m so ready for this challenge… and Lord knows I need accountability. I hope that I am an encouragement to you guys… Put me in my place if I’m not… the world has enough negativity without me adding to it. With that being said… I just turned 50 this year and when I look around at women my age I’m frightened. Cowgirls I feel l…[Read more]

OK, Robinlea, you asked for it!! I was busy all day, wondering what all of you were up to, I did the last no sugar challenge and really made progress, I backslid a little but I’ve been riding a LOT. My husband is under the weather right now so I have to keep the two horses exercised. Frankly, I’m loving it. I have to go to Dallas for 2 day…[Read more]

Way to plan!!! I need to be better at that for sure!!!

I really need this challenge to stay focused. I would love to lose about 30 pounds! I am picturing my new outfit for the holidays. This group keeps me accountable and motivated. I hope I can stick it out!

Ok ladies, I did clean the stalls this morning, before I packed my bag (with tennis shoes and workout clothes) for the trip to Dallas. Waiting at the airport right now. I hope the hotel is in a decent spot with a great place to workout. I will try to take a pic to post here. We are going to drop some of the summer “pudge”!!!
-
You go cowgirl! I am so proud of you. You have inspired me to workout no matter what tonight!!! Will let you guys know how it goes…

Yes, post a picture. I hope your hotel has a good workout room. I took a walk with my horse tonight. Too hot to ride. Still in the 100’s… I’m going to start weights tomorrow and cardio.

Back on the wagon (or rather, Back in the Saddle) this morning!! 171 pounds but I haven’t measured yet. I have been really active in the last few weeks, and rode both horses Saturday and Sunday. Cleaned stalls, etc., etc. I have several outside projects lined up to complete, during the 12 week challenge. I hope to hear from the rest of you,…[Read more]
