Had to take a couple of days off from my workouts…the storm that rolled in took me out…huge headache, aching joints…grrr! But I’m baaaack!!! And I don’t feel like I missed a beat. I’m sticking with my 30 minute morning workouts, then I get the rest of my 10,000 steps in after chores are done. Even got the husband in on the walking.…[Read more]

Still sticking with the 10,000 steps and 100 crunches per day, as well as the 100 squats and push ups. Mother Nature isn’t playing nice, however, with the 10,000 steps, but that’s ok…I’ll catch up. The wind and snow was crazy here yesterday. How is your weather? Hope it’s warm and sunny where you are.

Old school Billy Blanks boot camp cardio with resistance bands this morning! Great total body workout. Also walked the dogs, but only for 10 minutes. Bad news…supposed to be windy (50-60 mph gusts) and rainy the next couple of days, so riding is on the back burner. Good news…two of the grandbabies are in town…and that’s a lot of…[Read more]

Monday Motivation! Ernestine Shepherd is well into her 80’s! I am a couple decades away from that, but I’m “determined, dedicated, and disciplined” so I can be fit and healthy when I’m in my 80’s.

Got in over 10,000 both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was more of a workout…Sunday was just a lot of moving around…grandbabies are in town. Got all 100 crunches, squats, and push ups in on Saturday. Only 50 on Sunday. Today is a new day and a new week…and I’m still on the way to a better me! Have a great day!

I am doing Kundalini Lounge 40 day weight loss yoga. I think I’m at day 26 today. I just started the Kundalini Lounge 40 day Mental Health one with my daughter. I need to get more steps in though.

I didn’t realize the monthly challenges until recently. I only did the squats 1 time. I hope to improve here too! I need to learn time management!! Good night all!

“Strength training makes everything easier.” (Debra Atkinson, Flipping 50) I know we all do a lot of moving and lifting on a daily basis…cleaning stalls, feeding, watering, scrubbing, etc., and our muscles have become accustomed to the routine. For me, this statement is definitely true. Although I’m not doing anymore than usual, it has become…[Read more]

Working out 5-6 days a week. I usually get 5 days in. Weekends are a little tricky, so I try to make everything I do some sort of workout. Example: Cowboy and I went to pick up some pallets for the hay barn. Packing those pallets is a good arm and cardio workout…BONUS! Need to get more walking in. Now that the weather is warming up, I…[Read more]

100 squats per day…25 at a time. Added 100 push-ups per day…also 25 at a time. Noticing little changes…my skin is more hydrated; I’m better able to make healthy food choices; I don’t have the sugar cravings; and many more. I don’t feel like there has been any change in my weight or measurements, but I’m not giving up! One day at a time!

Motivation for today…and every day. My mom and dad. Mom had two debilitating strokes by the time she was my age (58) caused by type 2 diabetes and heart disease. She spent nearly 20 years of her life in the care of others because of these health issues. Dad (on the right) died from causes related to dementia, which was brought on, to some…[Read more]

Watched “Beyond the Edge” with Lauren Alaina. She is just the cutest, but has had her own body issues. At the end of whatever day they were on she said she was proud of what her body accomplished, even though she was tired and hungry. I think we sometimes forget that our bodies are amazing. We may be on a journey to make them more healthy and…[Read more]
