Continuing with daily workouts…such a great habit! The challenge is nutrition. I know I’m not the only one who is busier with more sunlight and better weather. No workout yesterday. Some days a girl just needs a few extra ZZZZZ’s…but…I did do my 100 crunches, 2-30 second planks, and 2-5 minute arm workouts. Gotta give my knees a break.
Full body strength training this morning and a nice walk with the dogs.

Leg day yesterday but only 5459 steps…boo! Nutrition pretty good, but not great.
Breakfast = oatmeal with blueberries and walnuts
Lunch = Spaghetti with chickpea pasta and meat sauce made with homegrown ground beef.
Dinner = chicken, rice, steamed zucchini and yellow squash.
Snack = peanut butter with a few chocolate chips.

30 minute upper body workout. Trying intermittent fasting so I didn’t have breakfast…protein shake…until I got to work. Any of you try intermittent fasting? It’s new to me. We’ll see how it goes.

Amazing to think we have been on this journey for nearly 2 months! I still struggle with smart nutrition, but I am eating better than I was at the beginning and I have been getting my workouts in 5-6 days a week. Still a bit behind on my 10,000 steps. Some days I get over 10K. Others I get just under…and still others I am lucky to get half.…[Read more]

Starting out the week strong! Workout in, water in, lunch time walk with my horse in. Weather is great today, so it will be easy to get a before dinner walk in after chores. You would think it would be fairly simple to get 10,000 steps in a day with all that we do, but I have come up short on several days during this challenge. Sooo…the numbers on the scale aren’t moving much, BUT…I tried on a pair of jeans that I haven’t been able to fit into for the last 4 or 5 years. Workout…check. Water…check (50 oz so far). The day is still a bit young. I work remotely in the afternoons and my house gets a bit chilly when I’m just sitting behind my computer. Rather than bump up the heat I’ll add in the squats, crunches (think I’ll do Betsi’s stand abs workout that she posted), and push ups. Hope you all are warmer…[Read more]

Had to take a couple of days off from my workouts…the storm that rolled in took me out…huge headache, aching joints…grrr! But I’m baaaack!!! And I don’t feel like I missed a beat. I’m sticking with my 30 minute morning workouts, then I get the rest of my 10,000 steps in after chores are done. Even got the husband in on the walking.…[Read more]

Still sticking with the 10,000 steps and 100 crunches per day, as well as the 100 squats and push ups. Mother Nature isn’t playing nice, however, with the 10,000 steps, but that’s ok…I’ll catch up. The wind and snow was crazy here yesterday. How is your weather? Hope it’s warm and sunny where you are.
