We are going to Disneyland in January with our daughters family. We went 5 years ago and after the 2nd day I had horrible shin splints and zero energy. Hoping this trip will be much better.

After Covid I found it a little hard to get back into my workout routine. Last week I only got 2 workouts in…lack of energy. This week I’m doing better. I feel so much better if I workout in the morning…I have more energy, less brain fog, and I feel like I’m more organized.

Just finished listening to the book “Eat Smarter” for the second time. Great information.

Just a few more days until the end of the challenge. How is everyone doing? I have stuck to working out 4-6 days per week, but I have been horrible about tracking my food and making good nutrition choices. Hope you all are doing great!.

With the holidays coming I’m hoping to use some healthier options for everything. Ideas?

Still hanging in there with this challenge. I love working out in the morning before going outside to take care of animals…and with the colder temperatures I’m gets me nice and warmed up. Hope you are staying warm and healthy!

Well…I survived Covid. I didn’t workout for a week, but it feels like much longer. Started working out again on Monday. Going slow because I still have some lingering congestion and I don’t want to overdue it and get sick again. Hope you all are healthy and happy!

Hoping to get a walk in tonight with my boy. Shorter days leave me less time to get these walks in, but I’m sure going to milk DST for all I can before we “fall back”. My weekdays are pretty busy from my 4:30 a.m. workout to 8 hours in the office, and then chore time, so meal prepping on the weekends sure helps me out timewise. It’s so nice to…[Read more]

I love this time of year for so many reasons! Weather is cooler, which makes working out a bit more comfortable. Still struggling to find a workout program that I really love, but I’m still working out most days of the week. Food is my friend, but some days I like it a little too much! Still learning to tame that lion. Hope everyone is having…[Read more]

This entire year has been challenging when it comes to riding. Too cold. Too hot. Too windy. I have ended up just walking with the big guy for exercise. It doesn’t help that he can’t do more than just walk him so I justify “just walking” rather than putting a saddle on him and getting on. We enjoy the walk, but I know he would rather be able…[Read more]

Found an easy chia pudding recipe that I’m planning to try. Also trying to add more veggies into my meals by adding spinach and/or frozen veggies to soups and other dishes. I have added spinach to spaghetti and chili. Doesn’t really add flavor, but does give it a healthy punch. I’ll update on the chia pudding next time.

I haven’t been quite as active on the website with this 12 week challenge, but I’m still working out 5-6 days a week and still working towards healthier eating habits. The holidays are coming and I will need all the help I can get. Foodie struggles… 😀

Started the Strong & Solid workout on Beachbody on Demand. I’m only in the first week. I mostly like the workouts, but there is a lot of jumping, which isn’t great for my old goat tyer knees, but I just make modifications. Stay tuned.

Is there going to be a new riding or workout challenge this month? I didn’t miss it did I?

Have made a much better effort to make healthy food choices. Leg day always leaves me hungrier, but the key is the healthy food choices. I may not reach my weight goals because…hormones…but at least I won’t add to the problem.

I’m on a roll! LOL Monday – Fitbit 30 minute strength training circuit; Tuesday – old school Shaun T Hip Hop Abs total body burn; today – 21 Day Fix lower fix. And every day I walk the dogs twice, along with barn chores. Hope you all are feeling great!

Listened to a great podcast this morning by JJ Virgin called “Feel Great and Lose Weight After Menopause”. Only 17 minutes but full of great information. Her podcast is Ask the Health Expert. I found it on Apple podcasts, but she can also be found on other social media. Enjoy!

Haven’t made very good food choices lately and my brain and joints certainly can tell. It’s amazing how food choices affect everything. Back to better food choices!

Continuing to workout 5-6 days a week…except for last week, but I only missed one day, so I’ll call it a win. Weather is a bit cooler in the morning making it a little harder to get out of my warm bed, but working out warms me up and gets me ready for the weather outside. I love Fall!

Same here!! It’s still pretty hot here but it’s starting to cool finally! I’m so happy you did so well last week! I didn’t do that great. I got into the gym only a couple times and worked out doing ranch chores here but it wasn’t the way I like doing things. I’m disappointed
-
Our lives are busy. The good thing for us, is we have ranch chores that keep us active on a daily basis. I think as long as we don’t let disappointment derail our goals we can get back on track and continue on our journey to better health. 🙂

You’re right thank you for that!
