    Got in over 10,000 both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was more of a workout…Sunday was just a lot of moving around…grandbabies are in town. Got all 100 crunches, squats, and push ups in on Saturday. Only 50 on Sunday. Today is a new day and a new week…and I’m still on the way to a better me! Have a great day!

    Working out 5-6 days a week. I usually get 5 days in. Weekends are a little tricky, so I try to make everything I do some sort of workout.     100 squats per day…25 at a time. Added 100 push-ups per day…also 25 at a time. Noticing little changes…my skin is more hydrated; I’m better able to make healthy food choices; I don’t have the sugar cravings; and many more. I don’t feel like there has been any change in my weight or measurements, but I’m not giving up! One day at a time!

    Motivation for today…and every day. My mom and dad. Mom had two debilitating strokes by the time she was my age (58) caused by type 2 diabetes and heart disease.     Watched “Beyond the Edge” with Lauren Alaina. She is just the cutest, but has had her own body issues.     Feeling a little frustrated, but sticking with workouts, nutrition, and natural sugar (in food). I have drank 75 oz. of water per day for the last couple of years. Still working up to a gallon…some days I get it in…other days not so much. Still working on 100 squats per day. I can do 100 squats, just struggling to fit them in every day.…[Read more]

    Been a few days since I have visited this site, but have kept up with workouts and nutrition. Made the 10 day sugar detox. My son and his family were here for dinner on Sunday. Had a small slice of light cheesecake for dessert, but other than that I’m still living sugar free other than natural sugars found in foods. Hope you all are feeling great!

  • Cardio and leg days always seem to take more out of me. I feel like I need to eat more, but that makes it hard to stay within my calorie goals. More protein or more carbs? Or both?

    Yesterday…cardio workout. Feelin’ the burpees and mountain climbers today! Today…combo upper and lower body workout. Getting my squats in as well and this 5 minute arm workout. I do this 2 or 3 times a day. https://pin.it/7zUi4mO

    I did it!!! 10 days without sugar or sweetener of any kind. No refined flours. No dried fruits. And no sugary beverages. Sugar is my addiction, so I will keep going, other than an occasional treat. Congratulations to all of you who also made it or are still working on it.

    Upper body workout this morning. Increased weights on the last set. I have limited time in the morning…the best time for me to work out, so 30 minute workouts are best for me. Wakes me up and keeps my energy level up during the day. I just use dumb bells and my own weight, along with some DVD workouts I have collected. Will add several sets…[Read more]

  • Continuing to track nutrition. Had pizza over the weekend. I think for the first time in history I stuck to one slice and then filled up on veggies.
