Back on the wagon (or rather, Back in the Saddle) this morning!! 171 pounds but I haven’t measured yet. I have been really active in the last few weeks, and rode both horses Saturday and Sunday. Cleaned stalls, etc., etc. I have several outside projects lined up to complete, during the 12 week challenge. I hope to hear from the rest of you,…[Read more]

Hi folks! I’ve been doing well on my eating since the last challenge ended, but I have to admit the last few days haven’t been great. The weather has been incredibly hot here, and is just now cooling down. Work is busy and I’ve been focusing on that. Today I’m going to pack my lunch for the office, which will help. See ya’ll!!

I didn’t start off well today… ran out of the house late today… work for a doctor… schedule is packed…. have to help with funeral and meal for the family today and memorial service tonight… not sure how to better manage my time for meal prep and workout when I feel like I’m always on the run just trying to keep up.

I’m waiting for the 12 week challenge to start, but in the meantime I’m doing really great! This morning’s workout was cleaning stalls, dumping out water troughs and scrubbing them out. Tomorrow, I work all the horses, because my husband is recovering from sinus surgery. I’m looking forward to riding my husband’s mare, because she’s really…[Read more]

Hi everyone! We are in a gap, following the 10 day sugar detox, and the 12 week challenge. I did join the 12-week challenge. I still have not eaten any candy, cakes, bread, cookies, not even a tortilla! I’ve been concentrating on salads with a few meats thrown in. I’m continuing to lose a little weight. We went to the cutting horse show in…[Read more]

Day 11: Here are the results:
Before: Weight 179, bust 38.5, waist 36, hips 45.75
This morning: Weight 171, bust 39 (?!), waist 34.5, hips 44.75
8 pounds!!!! 4 pounds of that are bound to be water weight and bloat from our trip to Oklahoma, but I think 4 -5 pounds are true weight loss!! In 10 days! Granted, I was darn tough on myself and aside…[Read more] -

It’s the evening of Day 10, and I did it!! Ok, I snuck a little vodka in my diet coke a few evenings while I watered plants outside and worked on my tan. But not one piece of bread, candy, cookies, cake, etc.!!! I know I’ve lost weight, and much of it is bound to be water weight that leaves every time I go strick low carb for a while. I will…[Read more]

Yay Sandigirl!!! If we can do 10 days, we can go longer. My knee is feeling really great, and I feel stronger than I have in a year. My knee surgery was May 12th. I didn’t realize how much the knee affected me until I got it fixed. Now, I can see how it contributed to my deconditioning and weight gain. I’m thinking about doing the 12 week…[Read more]

Good Morning! I am ready to complete Day 10. This morning’s exercise will be washing the dually, to get it all cleaned up for the trip to Sweetwater tomorrow. Scrubbing off all the bugs on the grill from the Oklahoma trip will work my arms and shoulders. I should have done this as soon as we got back from Oklahoma, but that didn’t happen.…[Read more]

I had a great workout this morning! I did both the 15 minute beginner workout and the walking workout posted here. Then I went walking up and down the road in front of our place. Spotted 3 of our calves that got out. Got my hubby and spent another 15 minutes chasing them back! Voila! A one hour workout to start my day!

Hi everyone! Today was excellent at the office. I had a greek salad, took off the croutons and didn’t eat the pita. I love feta cheese. No meat on it, so I followed that with 1/3 c of blueberries. Yum. Another salad for dinner, with chunks of cheddar cheese and sunflower seeds. And ranch dressing. Just the two big salads today, which had…[Read more]

Happy Sunday afternoon! So far, so good for the weekend! This morning before it got too hot, Ifinished up a can of pain on the front pipe rail. I just have a small part to finish the whole job. Then, at about 9, we worked the horses: went out and gathered some cattle to work, practiced them on the cattle (for the cutting in Sweetwater next…[Read more]
